Welcome To Mindarie Primary School

Mindarie Primary School opened at the commencement of 1997 with 175 Pre-Primary to Year 7 children as a 'School in Houses' initiative. The school relocated to a newly constructed permanent school in July 1999.

Mindarie Primary School is located 35 kms to the north west of Perth on the coastal strip. The school provides for over 700 students from Kindergarten to Year 6.

The school's curriculum has a strong focus on literacy and numeracy. Specialist programs operate in the following areas: Physical Education, Music, Performing Arts, Science and Primary Extension and Challenge (PEAC) for academically talented students in Years 4-6.

Students experiencing educational difficulties are catered for through Individual Education Plans (IEP).

The school has an experienced and committed staff who work collaboratively to provide the best possible learning environment for students.

Mindarie's facilities include 6 teaching blocks, library, 5 Early Childhood classrooms and a fully enclosed and carpeted assembly area.

The school actively promotes and encourages parent participation through the School Board, the Parents & Citizens Association and parent volunteers in various curriculum and extra curricula activities.

Mindarie PS is part of the RUMA network of schools. Students attending Mindarie PS are zoned to attend Kinross College and then Mindarie Senior College as part of the Coastal Cluster of Schools.

Parent surveys indicate a very high degree of satisfaction with the school's learning environment and community participation.
